Blue House Books

Blue House Books is here to help the Kenosha community and beyond find quality literature. Let us help you discover your next great book, the perfect gift, or a new community of literature lovers.

Now open in our new storefront!

Come check out our new store, located at 5615, 7th Ave in Downtown Kenosha.

Not to brag, but it's been called the new coziest spot in town. We hope to see you soon!

These are strange times we live in...

... but we adapt! Here's are our guidelines for safe book shopping in a COVID world:

  • Masks are required at all times when in the store

  • Stop and use the hand sanitizer at the door so you can pick up all the books you'd like

  • There currently are not any restrictions on the number of people allowed in the store at a time, but we may enforce a 30 minute time limit if necessary

  • If you're not comfortable coming into the store, you can shop online and choose curbside pick-up (free) or local delivery (free on orders $20+)

Thank you for following these guidelines and making our store a safe space to shop.

Happy browsing!

This video was created to help with our IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign. With the help of our amazing community, we raised more than $3,000 to help grow our business by expanding our inventory and purchasing furnishings for the store.

A special thank you to Nathan Lewis for the production of this amazing video. Check out more of his work HERE.

Blue House Books is not just a business that wants to sell you a product. We want to explore, discuss, and interpret stories with you. By hosting a monthly book club and several community events a year, we are proving to our community that reading--or experiencing stories in a variety of other ways--can truly be a social activity.
